Trent Alexander-Arnold joined by girlfriend as he reveals new name on Real Madrid jersey

Trent Alexander-Arnold's Real Madrid jersey will seemingly feature the name "Trent" instead of "Alexander-Arnold". The former Liverpool player was presented as a Madrid player on Thursday, and he held up a jersey which said "Trent 12" on the back of it.

Alexander-Arnold was joined by girlfriend Estelle Behnke as well as his mother and father as he posed for pictures alongside Madrid president Florentino Perez.

During his time at Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold donned his double-barreled surname on the back of his jersey above the number 66.

La Liga rules prohibit first-team squad players from wearing numbers higher than 25, so it was always known that he wouldn't be able to continue wearing the number 66 at Madrid, but the name change does come as something of a surprise.

Alexander-Arnold has also changed his Instagram handle from "trentarnold66" to "trent", which suggests he is keen on building a brand around his forename during this new phase in his career.
