Despite whispers suggesting he might be nearing retirement, Tucker made it clear he has no plans to walk away from the game he’s spent his life playing.

“Never have (I) mentioned retirement or even given any indication that may be a thing,” Tucker posted on Instagram story. “I’m 40 years young 100% healthy, able, and will continue playing the game I’ve dedicated my life to… HOOPIN!!!!!!”

Currently, the Knicks hold a $3.5 million team option on Tucker for the upcoming season. If they pick it up, his deal would remain non-guaranteed until January 10, the league-wide guarantee date.

According to league insiders, New York could exercise the option and potentially guarantee part of the deal as a trade asset, depending on how the rest of their offseason shapes up.
