Where former, current Seahawks stand in NFL all-time leaderboard on offense

If you ever play in Madden Franchise mode, it is fun to check the NFL Career Stats Leaders and see if any of your current franchise players have a chance at jumping into the top NFL career stat leaders. Well, in real life that is just as fun. With that, let us look at where current (and some former) Seattle Seahawks rank in their career stats, and where they could end up by the end of the 2025 NFL Season. This article will look at passing, rushing, and receiving yards on offense. Then a later article will look at defensive statistics, specifically tackles, sacks, and interceptions.

First, passing yards. The Seahawks new starting quarterback, Sam Darnold spent multiple years in quarterback purgatory (the New York Jets, and Carolina Panthers) followed by a backup stint with the San Francisco 49ers before starting for the Minnesota Vikings last season. Because of this, his passing stats are not the highest.

Darnold is currently ranked

- 150th in NFL history for passing yards, with 16,383 yards, and

- 152nd in NFL history for passing touchdowns with 98 touchdowns.

If Darnold were to replicate his 2024 season (which would easily be a successful 2025 season for the Seahawks quarterback), Darnold could catapult himself to

- 114th in NFL history for passing yards with 20,702 yards, and

- 113th in NFL history for passing touchdowns with 133 touchdowns (tied with Michael Vick).

For passing stats, another former quarterback to keep an eye on is Russell Wilson, who is approaching, if not already at Hall-of-Fame level passing stats. Though Wilson has had a decline in his play over the last few years, he could still pad these stats this 2025 season with the New York Giants.

Wilson is currently ranked

- 17th in NFL History for passing yards with 46,135 yards, and

- 12th in NFL history for passing touchdowns with 350 touchdowns.

Wilson could replicate his 2024 season, where he played in eleven games. However, with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, and veteran Jameis Winston behind him, eleven games could still be a reach. Regardless, if Wilson were to replicate his 2024 season, he could raise his rankings to

- 14th in NFL History for passing yards with 48,617 yards, and

- 11th in NFL history for passing touchdowns with 366 touchdowns (tied with Eli Manning.)

Next, with rushing stats, Kenneth Walker III is currently ranked outside the top 250 for NFL career rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Despite that, Walker III could make some upward movement with a duplication of his 2024 season.

Kenneth Walker III is currently at

- 2,528 career rushing yards, and

- 24 career rushing touchdowns

If Walker III were to replicate his 2024 stats (which would ideally not happen and he’d improve), that would leave him still outside the top 250 NFL career rushing yards leaders with 3,101 career rushing yards. However, this would push him into

- 223rd in NFL history with 31 rushing touchdowns

For rushing stats, Russell Wilson again is a name to watch as well. Wilson is currently ranked

- 128th in NFL history with 5,462 rushing yards, and

- 223rd in NFL history with 31 rushing touchdowns

If Wilson were to replicate his 2024 season, that would jump into

- 124th in NFL history with 5,617 rushing yards, and

- 203rd in NFL history with 33 rushing touchdowns

Next, with receiving stats, there is one current Seahawk to look at (Cooper Kupp) and two former Seahawks (Tyler Lockett, and DK Metcalf). Even though Jaxon Smith-Njigba is undoubtedly the number one receiver this upcoming season, he is only entering his third NFL season, so there is still some work for Smith-Njigba to be within the top 250 NFL career receiving leaders.

Starting with one of the newest Seahawks to the receiving corps, Cooper Kupp. Kupp is currently ranked

- 80th in NFL history with 634 receptions,

- 126th in NFL history with 7,776 receiving yards, and

- 111th in NFL history with 57 receiving touchdowns

Kupp is four years removed from his triple-crown 2021 season; however, he has put up consistent stats the last three seasons. If Kupp were to replicate his 2024 season this next season, that would leave him at

- 63rd in NFL history with 701 receptions,

- 96th in NFL history with 8,486 receiving yards, and

- 79th in NFL history with 63 receiving touchdowns

Now to look at the two former Seahawks. Let’s start with Tyler Lockett. Even though Lockett had a down 2024 season, his production over his career has put him in a decent spot in terms of career stats. Lockett is currently ranked

- 74th in NFL history with 661 receptions,

- 91st in NFL history with 8,594 receiving yards, and

- 91st in NFL history with 61 receiving touchdowns

If Lockett were to replicate his 2024 season, that would push him up to

- 61st in NFL history with 710 receptions,

- 70th in NFL history with 9,194 receiving yards, and

- 79th in NFL history with 63 receiving touchdowns

Now looking at DK Metcalf, who is now the number one receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is starting his career in Pittsburgh with the following rankings.

- 233rd in NFL history with 438 receptions,

- 209th in NFL history with 6,324 receiving yards, and

- 165th in NFL history with 48 receiving touchdowns

Metcalf didn’t have the biggest 2024 season but still put up respectable stats. If Metcalf were to replicate those stats in 2025, that would leave him with the following rankings.

- 176th in NFL history with 504 receptions,

- 146th in NFL history with 7,316 receiving yards, and

- 126th in NFL history with 53 receiving touchdowns

All in all, talking statistics is a fun exercise to have, but is far from the tell all in terms of NFL success. Some of the Seahawks’ key pieces to the 2025 season are not in this exercise due to pure youth (Jaxon Smith-Njigba, AJ Barner). And who knows, five to ten years from now, there could be plenty of current Seahawks on this list as well.
