Manchester United finished the season in 15th place after a series of dismal performances in the Premier League. Ruben Amorim’s men only managed to score a total of 44 league goals this season, their lowest total in Premier League history.
United’s Premier League top scorers, Amad and Bruno Fernandes, only managed to nestle the ball in the back of the net eight times in 36 matches.
This leaves room for a debate around United’s goalscoring prowess and the form of United’s strikers, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
It is clear that Manchester United are in need of goals and are now looking towards the likes of Brentford forward, Bryan Mbeumo and Swedish striker, Victor Gyokeres.
With Arsenal reportedly looking to hijack United’s deal for Victor Gyokeres, Ruben Amorim has been looking at other options should United not secure the signature of the Swedish striker.

As per Graeme Bailey, Manchester United have continued conversations with Victor Osimhen’s camp.
Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal made Osimhen their number one target this season, after missing out on Bruno Fernandes, and offered the Napoli forward a series of lucrative deals, reportedly equating to a sum of £75 million per-year.
Osimhen decided to turn down the enormous deal offered, despite the Saudi club already booking him a medical and awaited his arrival in Paris to complete the deal.
Sources close to the player insist he would already be in Saudi Arabia if money was the driving factor in his decision of who to join.
Journalist, Graeme Bailey, has spoken about the deal –
“We’ve known about United and Osimhen for months, and it is genuine interest. United have known his wage demands and that he is prioritising a move to England for months; he has always wanted a Premier League move.”
He also added that he believes the Nigerian is not concerned about about Champions League football for this season. However, he does not want to come to England to never play Champions League football.
The securing of Bruno Fernandes and the signing of Matheus Cunha is appealing to Osimhen and he knows United is an option. Furthermore, Graeme Bailey has been told not to rule Liverpool out of chasing a deal for the Napoli striker.
With this information, there is a possibility that we may be seeing Victor Osimhen in a United shirt before we know it, ahead of the heavily rumoured Victor Gyokeres.
