There has been a lot of media attention about the NBA Finals this year and whether people are paying enough attention.
The ratings haven’t been very encouraging so far, and analysts and experts are digging into the reasons why.
But no matter how many people are watching, many viewers agree that this has been terrific basketball.
Writing on X, Skip Bayless shared his opinion.
“All those millions of fans NOT watching this are missing some furiously great basketball,” Bayless wrote.

Bayless is right: there are millions of fans who are not tuning into the Finals.
He is also right when he says they are missing out.
The league was already going through ratings troubles, and they knew that this year’s championship would challenge them more.
That’s because the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers are not big-market teams, so their fan bases are smaller.
Although this matchup features the league MVP and one of the most exciting shooters in the NBA, Tyrese Haliburton, many casual sports fans aren’t sold.
When the Finals are done, you can expect to hear a lot about the ratings if they don’t go up in the days ahead.
No matter what, this championship series has been splendid so far, with exciting buzzer-beating moments, a lot of support from the bench, and great performances from up-and-coming stars.
There have been three games so far, which means at least two more are on the horizon.
Bayless and many others hope that those who haven’t tuned in will change their minds so they can get a taste of what could be the future of the NBA.
