Caitlin Clark looks on during Game 3 of the 2025 NBA Finals between the Pacers and the Thunder at Gainbridge Fieldhouse
With Caitlin Clark in attendance, the Pacers have been undefeated in the 2025 NBA playoffs. The trend continued on June 11 when the Pacers beat the Thunder, 116-107, to claim a 2-1 series lead in the 2025 NBA Finals.
Clark had earlier attended the Pacers’ Game 1, Game 2 and Game 5 wins over the Bucks in the first round, the Game 4 win over the Cavaliers, and the Game 4 and Game 6 wins over the Knicks at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Incidentally, she was not in attendance when the Pacers lost Game 3 to the Cavaliers and the Knicks in the previous two rounds.
The Fever superstar has been referred to as “the good luck charm” and “secret weapon” of the Pacers by many fans and analysts alike on social media.

Caitlin Clark Rooting Hard for Pacers
Clark has done her part in egging on the Pacers every time she’s in attendance.
During the Pacers’ Game 3 win in the NBA Finals, she pulled out the “choke” sign celebration late in the fourth quarter when her team outscored OKC, 32-18, to pull off the improbable come-from-behind victory.
She also taunted Knicks star Jalen Brunson with his signature “three fingers over the mouth” celebration after Tyrese Haliburton, her good friend, made a crucial three-pointer in the Pacers’ series-clinching victory over New York.
It’s a little-known fact that Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, previously worked for the Pacers organization before joining Butler as an assistant coach in 2024.
As such, Clark and McCaffery have developed a close friendship with Haliburton and the rest of the Pacers in recent years.
“He’s, first of all, one of my good friends, but also like it’s nice being able to just talk basketball and understand each other, but also we keep it fun,” Clark said of Haliburton, via Fieldhouse Files. “It’s not anything deep, but it’s fun to talk about, too.”
Pacers Two Wins Away From NBA History
Haliburton has similarly praised Clark for being a part of his support system.
“I’ve said it many times: Caitlin is amazing,” he said. “For me, getting to actually spend time around her, be around her, get to know her personally, she’s just an amazing person, an amazing player.
“She deals with a lot. There’s a lot of rhetoric behind her that she really has no control over and I think that the way she handles that is just amazing.”
Haliburton produced 22 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds in his team’s Game 3 win in the NBA Finals. After the game, Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle praised his point guard for being aggressive and setting the table for his teammates.
“I thought his approach tonight was exactly what it needed to be, a combination of spatial awareness and aggression, and you know, a real good feel for aggression to score along with getting his teammates involved at the right times,” Carlisle said, via NBA.com.
The Pacers are just two wins shy of a franchise-first NBA championship. While the franchise won several titles as part of the ABA, they failed to capture the NBA championship during their lone previous Finals appearance in 2000.
