It was an interesting season for the Denver Nuggets as they had many ups and downs, though they were able to make it to the second round of the playoffs where they pushed the Oklahoma City Thunder to seven games.
Of course, the Nuggets were once again led by Nikola Jokic, who put together arguably the best season of his career which resulted in him finishing second in the MVP voting to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Denver also saw other pieces of their core put together a solid season including veteran guard Russell Westbrook who turned back the clock in his first season in Denver.

Westbrook announced a few weeks ago that he underwent surgery on his right hand and he made a massive announcement on Thursday regarding his recovery in his Word of Westbrook newsletter.
"First and foremost, thank you all for the heartwarming comments and support following the announcement of my surgery a couple of weeks ago,” Westbrook wrote. “All is well, and I’m truly honored to have a community behind me that cares so deeply."
This is great news for Westbrook as it appears his recovery is going well and he is expected to make a full recovery before next season.
Of course, where the former MVP winner will be playing next season is still unknown as he is an unrestricted free agent this summer.
It makes sense for Westbrook to stay in Denver, especially after putting together one of the best seasons he has had in a while.

This season, the 36-year-old guard averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 44.9% from the field and 32.3% from three.
While Westbrook is no longer the MVP caliber player that he once was, he proved this season that he can still be a key piece off the bench for a contending team and there should be multiple teams interested in him this summer if he decides to move on from the Nuggets.
