Everton could make a clever move to sign former West Ham United star Vladimir Coufal in the coming weeks of the summer transfer window, according to reports - with the experienced right-back preferring a move to the blue half of Merseyside to link up with former boss David Moyes.
Coufal joined West Ham as a 28-year-old at the peak of his career from Slavia Prague, and has since embarked upon a magical journey with the Hammers - though he's lost his place to Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the east end. That has seen him released from his contract, and Everton could make a swoop.

The report by CaughtOffside states that Coufal is 'nearing the end' of his contract with West Ham, and the Czech defender is keen to stay in England once his deal in the capital runs out.

With that in mind, former boss Moyes has shown interest in adding him to his right-back ranks, and although there hasn't yet been any contact with the defender, Coufal is keen on a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to embark on a new era for both himself and the club after leaving Graham Potter's squad.
The Toffees are his preferred move, with a reunion with a manager who trusts him, and that would not only save Moyes funds to strengthen elsewhere, but he'd also be able to get the best out of his long-serving right-back. Nathan Patterson hasn't impressed much since his move to Goodison Park, and with Seamus Coleman in his twilight years and Ashley Young having departed after his contract expired, there is a need for a right-back.
The duo would mutually benefit from a move, and with Everton having money to spend on improving their attacking ranks, Coufal's 'exceptional' experience and nous could prompt further excitement up front if he can form a strong relationship with whoever their right-wing option may be.
Coufal made 147 Premier League appearances for the Hammers, with a further 33 appearances overall, the majority coming under Moyes - and if they can replicate a European trophy again as they did two years ago, it would be a signing worth doing for all parties.
