But Jim Harbaugh wanted to let it be known that he was disappointed that his brother didn't make the catch.
"That literally was a can of corn," Jim Harbaugh said. "That would be the lesson: keep your eye on the ball.
"But far be it from me to coach Cal Ripken, a great shortstop," he quipped.
Jim Harbaugh said his brother was a great middle infielder when the two were growing up.
Ripken, of course, holds the MLB record for consecutive games played (2,632) and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007. He spent his entire 21-year career with the Orioles.
John Harbaugh has been Baltimore's head coach since 2008 and won Super Bowl XLVII with the Ravens, a victory that came against Jim.
