Sources: Everton handed major Richarlison twist as Thomas Frank's Tottenham plans shared

Everton are keen to bring Richarlison back to Merseyside this summer after three years at Tottenham Hotspur.

David Moyes has just been awarded an OBE in recent days but he will be looking for some reward from the Friedkins in the form of new signings.

There is plenty on the agenda at Finch Farm this summer, but Everton are prioritising a new striker in the market.

Everton are still awaiting a decision from Dominic Calvert-Lewin who is on course to leave the Toffees at the end of the month.

But there are options to explore and Everton are interested in signing Richarlison with his own future in north London in the balance.

Speaking to Everton News, TBR Football’s Chief Correspondent Graeme Bailey has now provided insight on how Thomas Frank views the Brazilian’s future.

Thomas Frank’s Tottenham appointment could scupper Richarlison to Everton

Big changes are taking place at both Everton and Tottenham with Frank looking set to succeed Ange Postecoglou in north London.

Frank has previously praised Richarlison as a ‘very good player’ and Bailey has been told the incoming Spurs boss could use the Brazilian more than Postecoglou did.

“I’m told we need to keep an eye on Richarlison and Thomas Frank. He could end up playing a role for Frank. I think it might not end up being the greatest news for Everton because he might get a chance to play that number nine role under the new Spurs manager,” he told Everton News.

“Frank didn’t sign Dominic Solanke and, when he comes in, there’s a real chance he could prefer Richarlison. The way Brentford played, I think Richarlison’s more suited to how that sets up. Keep an eye on Richarlison. I think the whole dynamic of Richarlison and Tottenham could change with Frank coming in.

“But he does want to play and Everton would have him back. He wants to play with it being a World Cup year, but let’s not rule out the fact Frank could use him. I’m told it’s a real possibility.”

Richarlison has hinted towards returning to Tottenham after a difficult Brazil call-up which saw the forward struggle to hit his heights.

An interesting summer lies ahead of the Brazilian forward but the change in Tottenham manager may have just thrown a spanner in the works for Everton.

Everton cannot wait on a striker signing

A new striker is at the very top of the wishlist for Moyes this summer following some issues over the course of the campaign.

Calvert-Lewin could still sign a new Everton deal, but no agreement has been struck despite the offer being on the table.

The window is now shut for a number of days but Everton cannot afford to wait around in the striker market which is proving incredibly competitive.

Everton have already lost out on Liam Delap to Chelsea and they are operating in a market where clubs across Europe are searching for their new number nine.

The Toffees jet out to the United States at the back end of July which could act as a deadline for Everton to bring in a new striker.

Of course, there will still be a few weeks until the new campaign starts, but Moyes will want any new striker bedded in properly.
