Chelsea set to part ways with 14 players this summer

Chelsea are planning a mass exodus this summer. They are said to part ways with as much as 14 current players. Most of these players were already away from Stamford Bridge on loan.

Chelsea have started the summer transfer window on a strong note. They have signed Liam Delap for £30 million. The club has also welcomed Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr. Now, the West London club is keen to sign another striker and a winger. In addition, they are also making moves for a new goalkeeper and multiple defenders.

But, Chelsea can’t be only focused on new signings. They were on the verge of breaching PSR last summer. They did escape from being hit with punishments but they need to stay careful. Hence, the club will focus on selling some current players to raise funds and comply with PSR.

Chelsea to part ways with 14 current players

The West London club is set for a mass exodus this summer. BBC have reported a 14 man list who are set to depart. The list goes as follows – Raheem Sterling, Axel Disasi, Kepa, Petrovic, Armando Broja, Joao Felix, Renato Veiga, Ben Chilwell, Chukwuemeka, Ugochukwu, Gilchrist, Alex Matos, Castledine and Zak Sturge.

All of these players have spent time away from Chelsea on loan. They have been underperforming for the West London club. Hence, the board has decided to cash-in on them this summer. Enzo Maresca is known for his bold decisions and may tell these players to find new club.

Chelsea are also expected to part ways with many other players who were not on loan this season. This involves players like Badiashile, Fofana and Nkunku. In addition, Nicolas Jackson may also find his future unsecure as the Blues are looking to sign another striker. Lastly, the may also part ways with Madueke for right price.
