Louisville coaches back on the road for NBPA Top 100 Camp

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Three University of Louisville basketball coaches were back on the road evaluating prospects on Thursday for day two of the NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp at the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center.

U of L assistant coaches Thomas Carr and Jermaine Ukaegbu were at the event for a second straight day, while assistant coach Brian Kloman joined them.

Head coach Pat Kelsey was at the event on Wednesday but wasn't on the road on Thursday. His son, Johnny, was with Kelsey on Wednesday at the event and stayed behind and watched games with the assistant coaches on Thursday.

One of the highlights of the day was a matchup between two of the top U of L targets in the Class of 2026 - Tay Kinney and Dylan Mingo.

And the game didn't disappoint.

Kinney, a native of Newport, Ky., now plays at Overtime Elite had 17 points and seven assists with just one turnover, but Mingo had 30 points and 11 assists, along with eight rebounds on 9 of 15 from the field. Mingo's team won 89-88 in overtime.

U of L target Qayden Samuels had 27 points and nine rebounds in the morning session and then hit for 25 points and 11 rebounds in the afternoon. Samuels is the camp leader in rebounds and one of the top scorers. U of L has had an assistant coach at every game he's played and Kelsey saw him on Wednesday.

Another U of L target is Cameron Williams, who had 18 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks in the afternoon session in front of Carr and Kloman.

Wing Ikenna Alozie said he still hears a lot from Louisville, and he had a solid day with 15 points and six rebounds in the opener and then 13 points, three rebounds, and three assists in the afternoon session.

The U of L staff watched a host of other targets, including Chris Washington, Bryson Howard, Anthony Felesi, Deron Rippey, and Cole Cloer.
