Despite February's disappointing loss in Super Bowl LIX, the last few months have undoubtedly been a joy off the field for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He and his wife, Brittany, welcomed their third child to the world back in January.
Funny enough, Mahomes and the Chiefs' reward of earning the AFC's first-round bye made sure that Patrick would be present to see the birth of his second daughter, Golden Raye.
However, Brittany made it perfectly clear in a recent interview on the WHOOP Podcast that the family of five will not be expanding anytime soon. Mahomes noted that three kids was the number she had hoped for.
"Nope," she responded. "We're done. We're done for a while. Three. I don't know, I mean I feel like you can never like say you're done, but I think three is all I need."
The Mahomes family ballooned to the current total of five in four years, so it's understandable that the two would be happy with the group they already have.
Patrick has take some moments away from the gridiron this offseason, making sure to spend some quality time with his family. That Super Bowl defeat did not stop him from making a trip to Disney World as the parents took their kids to the most magical place on earth this spring to enjoy a little vacation.
Both parents have become major celebrities over the last few years in their own ways, so these quality moments with their kids and out of the spotlight are certainly valuable.
But it won't be too long before Patrick is back in his pads and cleats, gearing up for his ninth professional season. This will be a major campaign for himself and the Chiefs as they have plenty doubting them on the road back to the Super Bowl.
