From France: Liverpool set to sign winger with fee agreed

Liverpool are set to seal a move for talented Senegalese winger Sidy Barhama Ndiaye, France Football journalist Nabil Djellit has revealed.

The Reds have reportedly advanced in talks to add the promising 2009-born starlet from the Diambars academy to their youth ranks in a deal worth €1m (£850k).

Ndiaye caught Liverpool’s attention during the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, and things are said to be 'working well' in Senegal for his arrival on Merseyside.

The Premier League winners have been active in the transfer market, with the additions of Jeremie Frimpong and promising goalkeeper Armin Pecsi already confirmed this summer.

Barhama, who naturally plays on the right wing, has captivated scouts with his 'incredible' pace, and there is even belief that he could eventually become one of the fastest players in the world.

The 15-year-old forward has earned four caps for Senegal U17 so far, starting all four games at the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations in April.

Liverpool have welcomed Frimpong as their first summer arrival and are expected to finalise two more blockbuster signings, with deals progressing for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez.

The Bayer Leverkusen star’s move to Anfield is set to break the British transfer record, as Liverpool continue talks over a potential €150m (£127m) deal for Wirtz.

Kerkez, meanwhile, is likely to cost around £45m and is believed to have already agreed personal terms with the Reds.

Liverpool are also expected to bring in a new number nine this summer amid growing interest from the Saudi Pro League in Darwin Nunez and have been linked with a potential move for Eintracht Frankfurt sensation Hugo Ekitike.
