Chelsea fans are more than aware of what Cole Palmer offers his club as one of the best players in the first team squad.
The Conference League final was a great showing of the gamechanging ability he possesses. In the space of five minutes Palmer had turned the game on its head and sent the Blues towards their first trophy under Todd Boehly’s reign.
The England international is set to be part of his first tour to the United States after missing out on pre-season last year, with Enzo Maresca excited about Palmer announcing himself to the North American fanbase this summer.
The manager will be hoping he is able to utilise a midfield that consists both of Palmer and Romeo Lavia, with him hardly getting the chance to do so due to injuries throughout the 2024/25 campaign.

The Blues suffered as a result of his absence. Alan Shearer believes Chelsea would be higher up the table with Lavia available.
The duo have developed a very strong partnership on the pitch though, with the Belgian full of praise for his teammate. However, he has just revealed another skill that not all supporters will have been aware of
When asked which of his teammates was most likely to complete a marathon, he answered: “Cole Palmer, people don’t know, but he can run for days, it’s crazy.”

Palmer close to top of Chelsea distance covered stats

Back in October, the stats said that Palmer had covered the most ground (BBC Sport) for Chelsea, however the majority of the highest figures in individiual games came from one of his teammates.
Enzo Fernandez is perhaps not as known for his engine like his midfield partner Moises Caicedo, however it is the World Cup winner who frequently records the highest numbers for individual games.
After a long season, Chelsea are going to have to dig deep to achieve victory at the Club World Cup, and will be relying on the likes of Palmer for moments of magic.
