Nico Williams is the leading transfer target for Arsenal this summer as the Gunners look to sign a winger.
Mikel Arteta is keen to sign a left-winger this summer and Williams is the focus for the North London side. The Spain international has a release clause of €58m (£49.4m) in his contract at Athletic Bilbao, who plan to offer the player a new deal to increase that value.

Williams has been linked with several of Europe’s top clubs since impressing in Spain’s success at last summer’s European Championship.
Last season, the 22-year-old scored 11 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions as Athletic secured a top-four finish in La Liga and Champions League qualification.
He has netted six times in 28 appearances for Spain, including the opener in the Euro 2024 final win over England.
Williams turned down transfer interest last summer but could re-consider his future in the Basque Country this time around.
Bayern rival Arsenal for Williams transfer
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Williams is Arsenal’s top target, but the Gunners face strong competition from Bayern Munich. The German champions have twice held talks with Williams’ representatives this month in a bid to get a deal done.
Bayern have turned their attention to Williams after missing out on the signing for Florian Wirtz. The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is nearing a move to Liverpool in a British transfer record deal.
