Isaac Kearney's mum regularly posts updates to social media about her son's love for Liverpool Football Club and the players. Over the last few months, Isaac has captured the hearts of many football fans across England for his passion for the club.

Isaac was born with Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, meaning he develops at a slower rate than other children his age. On TikTok, his family have highlighted the condition and shown the day-to-day reality of the life of Isaac. The account has amassed over one million followers.

The Liverpool fan's Instagram account also proves popular, with 534,000 people following it. The account is run by Melissa Kearney, Isaac's mum.

Yesterday she posted a picture of Isaac and sister Florence in school uniform and said: "Off to another appointment this morning. This time for a hearing test and to review his hearing aid."

In a further update, Melissa told followers: "Hearing test went well. They actually said his hearing has improved slightly. So his hearing aids were adjusted and Isaac will be reviewed again in three months", alongside a praising hand emoji.

The positive update comes after Isaac faced more complications to his health earlier this month. Doctors at Alder Hey believe Isaac has craniosynostosis, a rare condition where a child's skull does not grow properly.

On June 5, Melissa said: "They all wanted to check in on Isaac's progress and have done some assessments on him. During this appointment, we were told that they were 99.9% certain that Isaac also has a condition called craniosynostosis.

“Obviously this was a big shock to us, we had never even heard of it before. After a quick check over we learnt that actually Isaac has no collar bone, which we never even knew.

"He has a large open fontanelle on the top of his head (a soft spot which hasn't closed over), plus other symptoms such as breathing difficulties, dental problems, hearing loss, short stature, global development delay, the list goes on.

"It's so difficult because a lot of the symptoms also tie in with his Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome diagnosis, so we just always put it down to this."

Doctors are also considering a full facial/skull reconstruction in the near future. Melissa said: “They say this will help with Isaac's breathing, sleeping, eating etc."

In a viral video from January, Isaac was surprised at school by Reds stars Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk. He then visited the AXA Training Centre, where he met manager Arne Slot and the rest of his squad.

In heartwarming scenes, Isaac’s love for the players he idolises was reciprocated and he then watched the team train.
