Cleveland Browns 2025 Offensive Position Battles

Here is a look at the week one roster for each year Andrew Berry has been the General Manager of the Cleveland Browns. The reason I focus on week one is this removes the randomness of the moves a team makes the day following the initial 53 man roster.

This should reduce moving forward as teams can now put players onto IR and have them return later in the season, in the past they needed to make the initial 53 man roster first.

If I had to guess how many of each position they will have on the week one roster in 2025 it would be:

Quarterbacks - in the past we have seen a mixture of two and three, considering they have four players battling for a spot this year it is highly likely to be three. They certainly could go bold and keep four but this seems very unlikely.

Running Backs - why they have kept four backs previously, this was mostly for a full back which isn't on the card this year.

Wide Receivers - since they have always kept six wide receivers anything else would be a surprise.

Tight Ends - last year they kept two tight ends before changing to three later in the season, on the cards again but three seems the most likely.

Tackles - it is expected to be four tackles again unless they view someone like Jenkins as a tackle/guard hybrid.

Guards - they tend to keep either three or four guards, while it could be four this year I would assume that could be a hybrid that will play another spot too. Last year it was six but this was just Cohen while Michael Hall was on PUP and then he moved to the practice squad.

Centers - the expectation is two centers make the week one roster.
