Florian Wirtz’s transfer to Liverpool has been one of the worst-kept secrets in football over the last few weeks.
At the moment, it feels like all that fans are waiting for is for the Anfield outfit to confirm the transfer of the young German.
However, since he’s on holiday, it’s unlikely that anything will be officially shared until next week at the earliest.

And, even though some fans may have had a horrible feeling that the transfer of Wirtz wasn’t going to happen due to how long things have taken, it feels like everything is now being put into motion.
Especially since Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool have now finally agreed upon a fee for the attacking midfielder.
Liverpool would have to win the Champions League for add-ons to be triggered
Over the last few weeks, it has been reported that the upfront fee Liverpool were likely to pay for Wirtz was going to be worth around £100million.
That number has stayed the same throughout negotiations, with just the add-ons proving difficult to negotiate.
However, as per a report from German outlet Kicker, a final fee has been agreed upon, with some of the add-on structure already being revealed.

Kicker reports that the final fee for Wirtz will be worth around €150million (£127million), which is the fee that Bayer Leverkusen were holding out for.
The overall fee contains ‘easily accessible bonus payments’ that are dependent on sporting success, with one of those categories being a Champions League win.

When Florian Wirtz’s medical could take place
On the checklist of things to do for a new transfer, the last one for Liverpool and Wirtz to tick off is his medical.
This is something that hasn’t yet been completed by the German, but it’s not expected to throw any spanners into the works when it takes place.
Later on in their report, Kicker adds that the ‘contract documents’ need to be finalised, then the ‘perfect’ transfer for the 22-year-old will be completed.
Liverpool aren’t usually big spenders in transfer windows, but it seems like Arne Slot and FSG have taken a different approach to things this term.
Indeed, only time will tell what the future holds, but by the sounds of things, Wirtz could be getting unveiled as early as next week.
