Man United could trigger Jadon Sancho’s contract extension if they are to loan him out again this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Chelsea have paid £5million to send the winger back to Old Trafford, declining to sign him on a permanent basis for £25million.
The 25-year-old had a mixed loan spell with the Blues and is unlikely to garner much interest for a permanent transfer this summer.
Another loan could be a solution for Sancho – who will not be reintegrated into the squad at Man United under Ruben Amorim.
Man United set sights on another Sancho loan
The England international is only under contract until June 2026 – but United have the option to extend by 12 months.
They could trigger that option and agree a loan deal with an obligation to buy in an attempt to claw back much-needed transfer funds.

Borussia Dortmund and Saudi Pro League sides have emerged as early options for Sancho in the summer transfer window, but interest could pick up before the deadline later this year.

He notched five goals and 10 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea.
The Man City academy product also went out on loan with Dortmund in the second half of the 2023-24 campaign but the German side declined to bring him back to the Bundesliga at the end of that spell.
Sancho cost United £73million in 2021 but has played just 83 times for the Red Devils.

Rashford could also agree another Man United loan
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed last week (4 June) that Man United are keen to sell Marcus Rashford this summer but have not ruled out another loan spell.
Club chiefs at Old Trafford would prefer to cash in on the 27-year-old, and have slapped a £40million price tag on the England international.
Amorim has made it clear that Rashford has no future at the club – and United will consider letting the forward leave on loan later in the window if a suitable cash offer does not materialise.
