Arsenal have identified RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa as a key target in their push to bolster attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season, according to multiple reports.

The 20-year-old Norwegian winger, who joined Leipzig from Club Brugge in August 2024, has emerged as a target for the Gunners as they seek to add flair and depth to their forward line. Arsenal are already in talks with the Bundesliga side over a potential deal for striker Benjamin Sesko, and Nusa has now been added to the conversation.

Known for his explosive pace, ambidexterity, and direct playing style, Nusa has quickly turned heads in Germany, despite a relatively modest return of five goals and eight assists in 40 appearances last season. His performances on the international stage, notably a stunning goal against Italy in a recent World Cup qualifier, have further enhanced his reputation.

Reports from outlets includingCaughtOffside suggest Arsenal are eyeing Nusa as a dynamic left-sided forward capable of complementing Mikel Arteta’s existing attacking arsenal. With three consecutive runner-up finishes in the Premier League, the Gunners are determined to add the final pieces to a squad capable of claiming the title. Nusa’s versatility, able to play as a winger or attacking midfielder makes him an appealing option in Arteta’s fluid, unpredictable system.

However, the North London club face competition from several other suitors. Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Everton, and Napoli are all reportedly tracking the €45 million-rated prospect. Barcelona have also been linked, with Nusa expressing admiration for the Spanish giants and a desire to play alongside teenage star Lamine Yamal. Still, Arsenal’s ongoing negotiations with Leipzig for Sesko could offer a strategic advantage.

The pursuit of Nusa also signals a shift in Arsenal’s winger shortlist. Long-standing target Nico Williams appears close to joining Bayern Munich due to high wage demands, while Real Madrid’s Rodrygo has ruled out a move ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. As such, Nusa emerges as a more accessible option, albeit with some reservations.

Data from analytics firm SciSports rated Nusa as the lowest-performing winger in the Bundesliga last season, raising questions about his readiness to make an immediate impact. Nonetheless, Arsenal are reportedly willing to invest in his long-term potential as part of a broader recruitment plan.

Arteta, alongside sporting director Andrea Berta, has adopted an aggressive approach to the summer window. In addition to Sesko and Nusa, Arsenal have held talks over Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres and tabled a bid for Leroy Sane before his switch to Galatasaray. The club is also close to finalising a deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

With multiple positions under review, Arsenal appear determined to build a squad capable of going one step further in their Premier League title quest and Nusa could be a key part of that vision.
