It’s been another season full of emotional moments for our photographers to capture.
From winning the north London derby and Myles Lewis-Skelly’s goal against Manchester City to Declan Rice’s stunning free-kicks and a UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy lift, 2024/25 had it all.
We asked club photographers Stuart MacFarlane, David Price and Alex Burstow to pick their favourites and give a brief explanation of each one, which you can see below!
STUART MACFARLANE
1 - David Raya saves during a training session in January. There was a lovely light on a sunny day at the Sobha Realty Training Centre. I knew the picture I wanted but just had to be patient and wait for the perfect shot and a brilliant save.
2 - Mikel Arteta celebrates after the north London derby at Emirates Stadium in January. Mikel knows how much this game means to me and always gives me a great picture. Sometimes I just want to hug him but try to remain professional, it’s not easy!
3 - Myles Lewis-Skelly celebrates his goal against Manchester City in February. A great moment in a great win, how can you not love this picture?
4 - Arsenal players talk to coach Nico Jover during a training session in Dubai in February. I’m so privileged to be in a position so close to the coaches and players when they talk tactics. I always concentrate on taking pictures and block out their conversations.
5 - Bukayo Saka walks out for training in Dubai in February. I asked Bukayo to walk through the light on the stairs to get this shot. And of course he did.
6 - Mikel Merino celebrates his goal against Fulham in April. I was on a wide angle lens for Mikel to run around the corner flag after his goal, and was very lucky that he turned around to celebrate with a full stadium behind.
7 - Bukayo celebrates in April. I love that he looked straight at me. Thank-you Bukayo!
8 - View of the players walking out before the Champions League match against Real Madrid at Emirates Stadium in April. This is shot from a remote camera I put on the roof of the stadium and fired from pitchside pre-match. Climbing on the roof and setting this up is very challenging but when it works you can get a great picture.
9 - Declan Rice celebrates scoring his second goal against Real Madrid in April. I have a great working position at Emirates Stadium and had the perfect angle to capture this image of Declan celebrating his incredible second goal.
10 - Arsenal players celebrate after the win over Real Madrid, in April at the Bernabeu. I love this picture, it shows the emotion and connection between the players and supporters.
11 - Mikel Arteta deep in thought during a training session at Emirates Stadium in May. I probably photograph Mikel more than any player or member of staff, and it’s always a challenge to get something different at every training session.
12 - Martin Odegaard talks to his players before kick-off against Newcastle United in May. An incredible moment for me to capture our captain’s final words for his team before kick-off.

DAVID PRICE
1 - Mikel Arteta looking relaxed entering the stadium high-fiving the academy under-8s before the match against Newcastle.
2 - I knew that if I followed Leah Williamson at the final whistle, there would be a big reaction, and it worked well with this image of her jumping into Steph Catley’s arms after the victory over Real Madrid.
3 - I just love the carefree look on B’s face after scoring against West Ham at the London Stadium in what turned out to be a very dominant performance.
4 - Stina Blackstenius scoring a goal that will go down in the history of the club. You always want to capture these moments and fortunately I did on this occasion.
5 - Big Gabi celebrates his winning goal against Tottenham. Don’t really need to say any more than that!
6 - Katie McCabe and Caitlin Foord getting the party started in the changing room after the European Cup Final
7 - Team group in the changing room after the cup final was organised chaos!
8 - Declan Rice doing his usual jumps onto the pitch, the smoke and the flames add to the build-up to a big game against Manchester City.
9 - Dec celebrates with the fans after the match against PSV. I love that the scoreline is visible in the background.
10 - One of my absolute favourites of the season. Bukayo and Gabi celebrating right in front of me after Bukayo’s goal v Real Madrid.
11 - Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri. This picture seemed to take on a life of it’s own after the PSV match. It’s a simple picture, just two lads from Hale End playing in the Champions League.
12 - Stina celebrating her goal v Barcelona in the final. Just an iconic moment.
13 - There were so many good pictures after the Women’s Champions League final. But this one stands out to me. Katie proudly wrapped in an Ireland flag and Victoria Pelova just shouting with joy.
14 - This is just a nice action shot. Three guys all in the air competing for the ball against each other.
15 - I just like the look of determination on B, Dec and Jurrien Timber’s faces before the match with Real Madrid.

ALEX BURSTOW
1 - Gabriel Martinelli jumps over a challenge during the first league match of the season against Wolves.
2 - A simple huddle picture from early in the season but the sun shining on the players and fans makes for a great scene-setter before kick-off against Leicester.
3 - A unique moment away from the pitch as Kyra Cooney-Cross steps off the plane into the freezing temperatures in Oslo ahead of the UWCL match against Valerenga.
4 - A brilliant pre-match pyrotechnic display ahead of the north London derby victory.
5 - Kim Little gives some final words to the team moments before kick-off in the WSL match against Crystal Palace.
6 - Alessia Russo jumps for joy in celebration of the opening goal in the north London derby victory.
7 - Chloe Kelly displays great technique to score her first goal since signing on-loan in January, an important goal in the comeback against West Ham.
8 - Something a bit different as I tried to use the advertising boards and night sky to frame Chloe as she stepped into an area illuminated by the floodlights at Walton Hall Park.
9 - Victoria Pelova is congratulated in the post-match team huddle after making her long-awaited return from injury against Liverpool.
10 - Mariona Caldentey celebrates with Caitlin Foord after scoring against Real Madrid to bring the tie level on aggregate.
11 - I was very fortunate to have a great angle for both of Declan’s free-kicks against Real Madrid but this frame is my personal favourite as he was slightly closer to my position and you can see the ball striking the top corner of the net.
12 - A moment from the training pitch as Rosa Kafaji keeps close control at the end of a session.
13 - Mariona scores her brilliant goal against Lyon – Katie McCabe seemed to know it was going in!
14 - Renee Slegers celebrates at the full-time whistle after the fantastic 4-1 victory away at Lyon to seal a place in the final.
15 - Stina Blackstenius scores the winning goal in the UWCL Final – an iconic moment in the club’s history which I’m very fortunate to have captured.
16 - There were many celebrations from the UWCL final to choose from but I particularly like how the light is shining on Laia Codina in this frame as her ecstatic teammates celebrate around her.
17 - Leah Williamson shows what it means to win the UWCL as she runs towards the section of Arsenal fans shortly after the final whistle in Lisbon.
18 - Kim and Leah lift the UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy in Lisbon – what more can I say!
19 - The players and staff celebrate together in front of the brilliant supporters out in Lisbon.
20 - The Champions of Europe celebrate with the trophy and thousands of supporters outside Emirates Stadium.
