Chelsea are showing strong interest in French striker this summer. The player has been made available for €100 million in the transfer market. But, the Blues are facing a heavy competition from Arsenal and Liverpool in the race.
Chelsea have signed Liam Delap as their new striker. The 22 year old will play for them in the Club World Cup. He costed the Blues only £30 million due to Ipswich Town getting relegated. This has given the West London club chance to sign another striker this summer.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with Hugo Ekitike. He too is 22 years old and plays for Frankfurt. He scored 22 goals and picked 12 assists last season to display his high quality. Ekitike has been wanted by multiple clubs.

Chelsea face heavy competition for Hugo Ekitike
Transfer expert Christian Falk has reported a key news about Ekitike saga. He told Caught Offside that the race for Ekitike is very open. He added that all Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have retained their interest in the 22 year old.
Later, Falk added that Frankfurt have made it clear to Chelsea that they will only sell Ekitike for €100 million. The German club is in no rush to sell the French striker. They will play in Champions League next season and hence will like to hold on to their top players.
Chelsea do have plenty players to play in the striker position. As of now, they have Delap, Jackson and Guiu. On the other hand, Arsenal are in desperate need of a striker. They have been lacking a consistent goalscorer since a long time.
Lastly, Liverpool have Darwin Nunez but are open to move-on from him. In addition, they might aslo opt to sell Diogo Jota. This will force them to sign a new striker in this window itself. But, it is unlikely that they will spend €100 million on Ekitike especially after splashing €150 million on Florian Wirtz.
