'It's coming...' - Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool now close to another 'here we go' after Wirtz

Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed.

The Premier League winners are set to undergo one more round of club-to-club talks over the Hungarian international’s arrival at Anfield, with only ‘small details’ left to clarify before the move becomes official.

Liverpool had fresh contacts with Bournemouth over Kerkez this week and are expected to push on with further discussions to make him their second full-back arrival this summer.

The Reds announced Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong as their first signing last week, welcoming the Dutch right-back on a five-year deal to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, revealed that Kerkez will become a Liverpool player once the final ‘small details’ are resolved in club-to-club talks:

“I maintain my position, Milos Kerkez will be a Liverpool player. In this case, there are some small details to clarify with Bournemouth, but I maintain my position. I see Milos Kerkez going to Liverpool this summer.

“Then they still have to close these details. This is why, in this case, there is still no here we go, but it's coming. I have told you several times, here we go soon. Here we go, it's coming.

“Because it's really a matter of small details. Let them work on these, because they had more contacts this week.

“One more round of official talks is needed, but this deal is absolutely on the right way to become a here we go for Milos Kerkez to Liverpool.”

Kerkez is set to arrive at Anfield as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson, who turned 31 in March and has just one year left on his contract.

The 'world-class' Hungary international has emerged as one of the most exciting young full-backs in the Premier League during his time at Bournemouth, and is now set to bring the Cherries a hefty profit.

The Dorset coast club welcomed the 21-year-old from AZ in 2023 for around £15.5m, while reports now claim his move to Liverpool could cost in the region of £40m.

Liverpool are also closing in on a deal for Bayer Leverkusen superstar Florian Wirtz, who is set to undergo his Anfield medical in the coming days.
