Wolverhampton Wanderers are among a host of English clubs eyeing a summer move for St Gallen striker Willem Geubbels, Foot Mercato journalist Sebastien Denis has reported.
Wolves, along with Leeds, Sheffield United and Southampton, are reportedly keeping close tabs on the ‘powerful’ French forward, who looks destined to leave Switzerland after an impressive campaign.
St Gallen rebuffed offers worth €8m (£6.8m) for Geubbels in January, but are now said to be bracing for another wave of proposals and have placed a €10m (£8.5m) asking price on the 23-year-old striker.
European sides Union Berlin, Koln and Twente are also reportedly admirers of the highly sought-after Frenchman, who is under contract until June 2027.

Geubbels
According to Denis, Geubbels has yet to attract any concrete proposals but is drawing significant interest from multiple clubs following a strong season in Switzerland.
The 23-year-old striker scored 17 goals and provided three assists in 41 appearances for St Gallen and was named Best Striker of the Season by Swiss broadcaster Blue Sport.
St Gallen reportedly sense that keeping Geubbels this summer will be ‘impossible’ and are seeking a fee that would make him the club’s most expensive sale ever.
Wolves have already generated almost £100m in transfer fees this summer, having sold Matheus Cunha to Manchester United and Rayan Ait-Nouri to Manchester City.
The Molineux outfit are believed to be eyeing replacements for both players and have reportedly identified Danish full-back Clement Bischoff as a possible successor to Ait-Nouri.
The Algerian left-back signed a five-year deal with City, the same as Cunha, who also agreed terms with United until June 2030.
