Sky Sports have confirmed that Spurs have held initial talks with Brentford about signing Bryan Mbeumo, and new manager Thomas Frank’s arrival in North London has only added fuel to the speculation.

The Danish tactician, who coached Mbeumo at Brentford, is understood to have made the Cameroon international one of his top transfer targets.
Tottenham are also keeping tabs on Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, another player who has attracted interest from United as well.
While Spurs’ talks with Brentford are at an early stage, the North London side are believed to be preparing a concrete offer that could derail United’s long-term interest in Mbeumo.
The Red Devils had made the 24-year-old a key part of their transfer shortlist weeks before Frank joined Spurs, and sources indicate that a fresh bid from United is still on the cards.
However, with Spurs moving quickly, United may have to act fast or risk losing out on one of their key attacking targets to a Premier League rival.
