Exclusive: Liverpool are very 'happy' about one aspect of the Florian Wirtz deal after reaching agreement

TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Liverpool are happy about one particular aspect after agreeing a record deal with Bayer Leverkusen regarding Florian Wirtz on Friday.

The saga has been ongoing for a few weeks, with reports suggesting Liverpool had bids rejected for Wirtz.

It was then reported by Fabrizio Romano that Liverpool have reached an agreement worth €150m (£127m) for Wirtz.

However, the latest details of the agreed fee shows that the basic fee Liverpool have agreed to pay is much less than initially thought. TBR Football has now shared the details regarding the agreed deal.

Details of Florian Wirtz deal between Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has been informed by Liverpool sources that the deal is valued at €136m (£117m), which makes it a British record move and also the biggest-ever sale by a Bundesliga club.

The €136m (£117m) is inclusive of add-ons but does not include some other factors that would eventually take the deal to hit the €150m (£127m) figure, which Bayer Leverkusen have been insistent on all this time.

TBR Football can reveal that these specific factors include Liverpool winning the Champions League with Wirtz.

However, the Merseyside giants for their part are happy that the initial guaranteed money is set at £100m (€117m).

Liverpool will not stop at Florian Wirtz

Bailey further reveals that Liverpool are just getting started and have no plans of putting brakes to the transfer activities.

The club were always planning a huge summer and they made an incredible start, with Liverpool already signing Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen and now agreeing a record-breaking deal for Florian Wirtz.

Bailey said: “As TBR Football revealed last month – Liverpool were prepared to break the British record for Florian Wirtz and they have done just that.

“Liverpool were always planning a ‘huge’ summer and they have certainly began in spectacular fashion, landing one of the most wanted players in the world.

“FSG have backed Michael Edwards, Richard Hughes and Arne Slot – those three confirmed to FSG that they wanted Wirtz and they said yes – go and get the deal done.

“That is what has happened – this is a real line in the sand in the Premier League. Liverpool do not intend on releasing their Premier League crown, anytime soon.

“And let’s get this right – Liverpool are not finished, this is just the start.”

Who Liverpool could sign next

Milos Kerkez is expected to be the next one in for the Reds. TBR Football recently revealed that Liverpool are edging closer to signing Kerkez, who could become Arne Slot’s third signing of the summer.

The next big target for Arne Slot will be a new striker with Darwin Nunez expected to leave Liverpool and Luis Diaz linked with a move to Saudi Pro League as well.

Hugo Ekitike is a name linked with Arne Slot’s side this summer. However, another name has been mentioned more recently.

According to reports, Liverpool spoke about Victor Osimhen in a high-ranking meeting at Anfield this past week, identifying him as a potential target for the striker position.

Newcastle star Alexander Isak is another player in high demand this summer. TBR Football recently reported that the Reds are in pole position to sign Isak, with the club willing to break the bank to secure his signing even after signing Wirtz.

It certainly is an exciting time to be a Liverpool fan, who perhaps are not used to seeing their club spend like this in a transfer window.
