The transfer window is about to heat up as more Premier League clubs look to strengthen their options ahead of the new season.
Manchester United were quick to get their first deal over the line this summer.
Matheus Cunha joins United from Wolves in a deal worth £62.5 million that will see the 25-year-old become part of Ruben Amorim’s squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
As expected, United are not stopping there after stepping up their pursuit of Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo. The Cameroon forward scored 20 goals in the Premier League last season and is expected to cost a similar fee to Cunha.
Ineos are also planning a mass clear-out of United’s first team, with players deemed surplus to requirements moved on. United loanees such as Antony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are all searching for new clubs to join before the new season begins.
United fans will also be interested in seeing where former players end up, including Fred, who has attracted interest from the Premier League following a second season at Fenerbahce.

Mourinho remains manager at Fenerbahce, but Fred’s future could be up in the air if reports are to be believed.
According to Takvim, Everton are willing to pay a ‘large transfer fee’ for Fred.
The report suggests former United manager David Moyes, who was honoured with an OBE earlier this week, has prioritised a deal for Fred to bolster Everton’s midfield this summer.
Fenerbahce could prove to be difficult negotiators when it comes to selling Fred because they are seeking a profit on the 32-year-old.
Despite spending a mere £8.2m to sign Fred, Fenerbahce are reportedly demanding £15m for his signature two years later.
Fenerbahce are also understood to be eyeing a move for Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma, which could see Fred drop in the pecking order under Mourinho.
