Barcelona were eager to sign Nico last summer but ended up landing Dani Olmo instead and it’s thought they’ve since dropped all interest in the Athletic Club star.
Williams has attracted interest from Arsenal and Bayern this summer, while Athletic also want to renew his contract, and his agent has now met with Deco for an hour and a half to see if the Catalans still hold any interest, according to Sport.
Nico would rather stay in Spain if he does move on, and has many good friends at Barcelona, which seems to be the reason why his agent wanted to talk to Deco.
