The revamped Club World Cup finally makes its first appearance as Gianni Infantino's brainchild takes place in the United States as the nation warms up for the World Cup next summer.
The competition has been marred by discussions of increased pressure on the professionals with minimal rest time during an already congested fixture list with previous suggestions of strike action. Not to mention the low ticket sales which has "concerned" the world governing body despite dramatically reducing the original pricing to get fans through the turnstiles.
Nonetheless, it is another trophy up for grabs as the 32-team competition features some of the biggest clubs and names in world football this summer.
The bookies will also be busy with plenty at stake for Manchester City and Chelsea as they look to make an impact on the competition despite both sides ending the season trophyless. They will face strong competition with the likes of Real Madrid, PSG, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich at the helm.
Who is the favourite to win the 2025 Club World Cup?
Despite a disappointing campaign which saw their season end trophyless, Real Madrid are the bookies favourite at 4/1 to win the newly revamped Club World Cup.
Los Blancos, with the help of a certain Trent Alexander-Arnold, will be looking for the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr to perform over in the United States.
Meanwhile, not far behind Xabi Alonso's side is the reigning European champions PSG as Luis Enrique's side look to build on their strong performance in Munich just a couple of weeks ago.
The Parisians are expected to put on a strong display despite the demands of the fixture schedule all-season long and are 9/2 best priced with Ladbrokes, Sky Bet and Paddy Power to bring home the World title while still basking in the glory of the Champions League.
