Analyst Reveals What Heat Could Potentially Offer For 15-Time All-Star

The Miami Heat have been known for mostly staying still during the offseason.

They rarely make big moves, but that could change this year.

On X, Jake Weinbach said the Heat should be “increasingly active” during trade talks and should approach things with “a sense of urgency.”

He added that the Heat had been linked to Kevin Durant at the trade deadline and will reportedly be in the mix for him again soon.

“If Miami re-attempts to acquire Durant, an offer would most likely have to start with Andrew Wiggins, Duncan Robinson, and Kel’el Ware to entice Phoenix,” Weinbach wrote.

The San Antonio Spurs have recently climbed to the top of the list for potential new homes for Durant, but other teams will also fight to sign him.

There is a good reason for that, too, because he is still averaging 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.

He is still one of the best basketball players in the league at 36 years old, and a number of teams would be elated to have him.

If the Heat really do pursue Durant, it’ll be one of their largest moves in years, and it would signal the start of a new chapter in Miami.

As noted by Weinbach, they would have to give up a few promising players, but that would probably be worth it to them.

Even if the Heat offer all of this, there is no guarantee the Phoenix Suns would listen to them because they will weigh their options and only go with the choice that sets them up best for the years to come.

Competition for Durant will be intense, so the Heat better be prepared.
