Former Celtics forward and current analyst Brian Scalabrine made it clear he believes Derrick White isn’t going anywhere.
The Boston Celtics may face a major roster shakeup next season, but one key player is expected to stay put.
Since their second-round exit against the New York Knicks, the Celtics’ financial issues have sparked trade rumors involving almost everyone, except Jayson Tatum.
However, former Celtic and current broadcaster Brian Scalabrine is confident Derrick White will remain in Boston for the long haul.
“There’s no way in hell Derrick White is not on this team next year, the next five years,” Scalabrine said during an NBC Sports Boston special. “We just know. Come on.”
Since joining the Celtics, White has been a crucial piece in their playoff runs, including their 2022 championship. Last season, White posted career-best numbers, averaging 16.4 points and knocking down 38.4% from three-point range.
