Despite the 2024-25 season ending just three weeks ago, we are already rapidly closing in on the 2025-26 campaign, with the Premier League kicking off in two months.
The nightmare that was the season just past is gone, but it is not forgotten, with Manchester United needing drastic improvements or risk alienating fans further.
Ineos has gotten the summer off to a strong start with the signing of Matheus Cunha, which is a huge coup for United and seriously upgrades the attacking options available to Ruben Amorim.
However, amid all the excitement around signings, it cannot be forgotten that Amad is as talented as any player United could bring in this summer.
Amad was incredible for United last season, breaking out as a serious first-team star for Amorim, which has ensured he has a place in the starting line-up come August.
Now, the Ivory Coast international has revealed one big target for the 2025-26 season.

Amad Diallo’s instant reaction to new Manchester United kit is perfect
Amad had some incredible moments during his breakout season, but none were better than his hat-trick against Southampton in January. This performance came with Amad being handed a new United contract as he was announced as one of the club’s best players.
It is a crowning moment that will stay with Amad for years, and now he has stated his desire to repeat the feat again next season, as seen in a video shared on club media.

“I have to score a hat-trick next season in this one”, Amad told the person operating the camera with a big smile on his face.
Also reacting to the new kit in the video was Casemiro, while others, such as Bruno Fernandes, looked at home already.
Casemiro’s response to the new kit – “Not bad”, as he laughed.
There is a chance that Amad might end up with a new number at United after hinting at this on his Instagram.
Amad Diallo was the last Manchester United player to score a hat-trick
Old Trafford doesn’t see many hat-tricks these days, but Amad’s hat-trick was actually the 11th fastest in league history, and he also became the second youngest player to ever score a hat-trick for United behind Wayne Rooney.
When Amad scored his three in January, it was the first United hat-trick since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2022.
No United player has scored a hat-trick since, and so if Amad was to be the next player to score one for the club, it would be almost unprecedented in the modern era and showcase just how special the Ivorian is.
Amid the signing of Matheus Cunha, it is important to remember that this season will see Amad kick on after his breakout campaign ended with 11 goals and 10 assists. With the talent being signed, there is absolutely no reason he won’t have the chances to double this.
