According to a report from The Athletic, [Real Madrid](https://www.managingmadrid.com) academy defender Diego Aguado is one of the players most likely to feature for the first team in the upcoming Club World Cup.
Real Madrid are taking a 34-man squad for the competition to the USA on Friday, and 10 of those players are from either the Castilla team or the academy.
This is due to the numerous first-team injuries that some of the players in the squad have, and there is no doubt that some of those players will feature, with Aguado being among the ones tipped for some minutes.
He can play left-back or centre-back, and his successes in the former will help with the thin depth chart for Real Madrid, with Fran Garcia being the only first-teamer available.
Yusi is another name mentioned by The Athletic, who could feature, and it remains to be seen what Xabi Alonso does to incorporate these talented young players into the first team over the next few weeks.
