Antonio Brown Arrest On Attempted Murder Charge New Draws NFL Fan Reactions

Antonio Brown's post-NFL career allegedly took its most frightening turn yet as police have a warrant put out for his arrest for attempted murder ... and fans who followed his once-brilliant career - before it ended oddly as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - are offering no shortage of reactions.

As first reported by the Washington Post, a warrant in Miami-Dade County lists Brown being charged with attempted murder with a gun. He has been ordered to pay $10,000 and remain under house arrest until trial.

In May, Brown attended a boxing event in Florida and engaged in a conflict; Brown claims it was an attempted robbery. But it is alleged that some point Brown returned to the scene with a loaded gun and that he pursued the person he had fought with.

Brown noted at the time that police did detain him but did not arrested him.

It was also during this period when Brown opted to appear on a livestream with content creator Adin Ross and joked that "CTE got me blacked out."

Witnesses have told told police officers that Brown was the shooter, according to the warrant, which adds that two shell casings were found at the scene.

One typical fan response (excluding the unkind ones): "For his sake, I do hope he’s legitimately innocent. But man, regardless, I hope he gets the help he needs because incidents are just happening too often with AB.''

Wrote another: "Antonio Brown real talk was on track to being the best receiver ever to play. Not one of the best but THE BEST. Now his more known for antics than anything else, and that just may cost him the Hall of Fame. Sad man.''

This trouble marks the latest in a long string of incidents involving Brown, 36. He was. a four-time All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowler who spent nine years with the Pittsburgh Steelers before a 2019 trade to the Raiders, who quickly released him after a series of conflicts without ever played a game for his new team.

Brown was then signed by the New England Patriots but played just one game there before he was cut again amid allegations of sexual assault against a trainer.

Brown played two seasons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after signing with them in October 2020 and helping the Tom Brady-led team win a Super Bowl. But that time ended when he stripped off part of his uniform and marched off the field during a game in 2021, after which Tampa Bay released him.
