Liverpool have a star-studded team that is set to get better over the summer as Richard Hughes works his magic in the transfer window.
Liverpool moved quickly to bring in Jeremie Frimpong as a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Florian Wirtz is now closing in on a move to Liverpool, and there’s a good chance the Reds are only just getting started.
As testament to Liverpool’s quality, Newcastle United’s Jacob Murphy has now named two Reds stars as the very best in the world in their respective positions.

Murphy was asked on TikTok which players he feels are the best in the world in each position.
First up was midfield, where he went for Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, then Alexander Isak got the nod as the best striker.
Achraf Hakimi and Tino Livramento were then picked as the best full-backs in the world, while Gianluigi Donnarumma got the nod in goal.
Finally, the best centre-back accolade was given to Virgil van Dijk, while the tag of best winger went to Mohamed Salah.

What Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah said about their new Liverpool contracts
Van Dijk has enjoyed a hugely successful spell on Merseyside, winning two Premier League titles, a Champions League, an FA Cup and two League Cups in addition to a UEFA Super Cup and a Club World Cup.
His Liverpool contract was set to expire this summer, but he – like Salah – penned a new deal recently.
Van Dijk told the Liverpool media team on his new Reds deal: “I’m very happy, very proud. There are so many emotions obviously that go through my head right now speaking about it.
“It’s a proud feeling, it’s a feeling of joy. It’s just incredible. The journey I’ve had so far in my career, to be able to extend it with another two years at this club is amazing and I’m so happy.”
Meanwhile, Salah said: “Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.
“It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.
“I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together.
“Keep supporting us and we’ll give it our best, and hopefully in the future we’re going to win more trophies.”
