It has been a day of movements at FC Barcelona with the club paying Joan Garcia’s release clause and then meeting with the agent of Nico Williams.
There appears to be some activity with regard to exits as well as Ansu Fati could now be closing in on a transfer to AS Monaco.
Fati to Monaco – Here we go soon
Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona and AS Monaco are finally resolving the last remaining details of the Ansu Fati operation.
This comes after reports emerged earlier in the week that the Blaugrana had rejected the Ligue 1 outfit’s offer for the out-of-favour attacker.
One of the major sticking points in the talks has been the value of the buy option that will be included in the loan deal for the 22-year-old La Masia graduate.

Another issue has been the division of salary payments between the clubs – with Barça not being keen on carrying the larger share.
Either way, it appears that both teams are working towards resolving all the details, with Romano claiming that the agreement is in its final stages, following which the customary ‘Here we go’ will drop.
After another campaign during which he struggled with fitness and form, a fresh start away from the demands of Barcelona might be the best thing for Ansu.
The Blaugrana, for their part, are eager to get rid of his high salary but wish to have some degree of control over his future. In the end, the current Barcelona No. 10 appears close to joining Monaco.
