Everton are looking at Manchester City as a club who they could buy a number of players from this summer.
Big changes are expected at Everton over the coming months as the club prepare for their historic move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
David Moyes will now want to see the Friedkins put their hands in their pockets and bring some new faces into the club.
It is expected Everton will be financially backed by the owners to provide Moyes with a squad worthy of playing in their new home.
Man City are set to allow a number of players to move on this summer, with Jack Grealish on Everton’s radar already.
But it is the future of James McAtee which has taken a big step forward over recent hours as the Blues look on.

But this is a player who is in high demand with clubs from across Europe showing an interest in signing him.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
According to Sky Sports, Bayer Leverkusen are now readying a bid for McAtee with the market set to open again.
It has been claimed City are looking for a fee in the region of £25m which could certainly appeal to Everton.
However, the Blues are unable to offer McAtee Champions League football which the likes of Leverkusen would be able to.
Sky Sports believe McAtee has given the thumbs up to joining Erik ten Hag in Leverkusen if a deal between the clubs can be struck.
Chelsea beat Everton to signing Liam Delap as they were able to boast Champions League football for next season.
And it looks like the Toffees may be up against it once again in the race to sign McAtee.
McAtee does not have to rush a decision
Like Grealish, McAtee did not travel with Man City for the Club World Cup as he is playing for England’s U21s at the Euros.
There is still plenty of time left in the tournament to be played out which the England U21 captain will be fully focused on.
Everton are going to need to battle hard if they are to land this calibre of player.
With the finances in check, Everton are hoping the new stadium will attract players like McAtee and Grealish who are used to playing on the big stage.
European football could prove Everton’s downfall this summer in the market with players eyeing the elite competitions.
But it is something the club have on their radar with Moyes admitting Everton are targeting European qualification.
