Antonio Brown is facing an attempted murder charge after a warrant was issued for his arrest, but the former NFL star shared a video on Friday suggesting he is not currently in the United States.
The Washington Post reported on Thursday that Brown is wanted by police in Florida’s Miami-Dade County on a charge of attempted murder with a firearm. The charge stems from a shooting at a celebrity boxing event in May.
Though he may not run his own accounts, Brown was still active on social media Friday. One post on Brown’s official X account showed the seven-time Pro Bowl selection riding a bicycle in an unknown location. The post was captioned “#lovefromthemiddleeast.”

It is unclear if the video was current or actually recorded in the Middle East.
Brown’s account had a couple of other posts at around the time the video of him riding a bike was shared. One of the posts said “What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.” Another featured a photo of an unknown person and said “This cracker did it wasn’t me.”
Brown allegedly shot a gun during a fight
The warrant issued for Brown’s arrest, which was signed by a judge on Wednesday, calls for Brown to post a $10,000 bond and remain under house arrest pending trial.
A video that emerged last month claimed to show Brown getting involved in a large fight after a Miami celebrity kickboxing event put on by the popular Internet streamer Adin Ross. The video, which can you can see here, showed Brown getting tackled to the ground by multiple unidentified individuals and responding by kicking one of those individuals. Reports claimed that Brown fired gunshots during the incident.
Brown was briefly handcuffed and detained by responding police officers amid the melee but was not ultimately placed under arrest. The 36-year-old later posted on X that he was “jumped by multiple individuals” who were attempting to steal his jewelry. Brown added that he would be pursuing legal action against his assailants.
Regarding the boxing event that happened last night. I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me. Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me.…

Police claim to have troubling evidence against Brown
According to the warrant that was reviewed by the Washington Post, detectives in Miami have obtained cell phone video footage apparently showing Brown punching a man, which allegedly sparked the fight.
Further footage appeared to show Brown taking the gun of a security officer and running towards the man he had punched. Per the warrant, the footage also captured two gunshots as Brown approached the man as well as the man ducking.
Brown has had legal trouble on numerous occasions, especially since his last NFL appearance in 2021. He was also recently revealed to be in some major financial trouble.
Brown is now facing a serious charge, but it is possible he is not in the United States.
