What are Bill Walton’s Trail Blazers championship ring and jersey worth?

An auction featuring 553 items belonging to NBA legend Bill Walton, who died last year at the age of 71, ended Thursday.

Items sold include game-worn jerseys, shoes, championship rings, clothing, trophies, books, bicycles, a 16-foot tall tipi and, of course, Grateful Dead treasures.

The auction, held by Hunt Auctions, began with online bidding in May and concluded with in-person bidding on Thursday.

Items selected were of great personal and sentimental value to Walton, according to his widow, Lori Walton.

Price: $111,500.

Item: Original Tipi Walton kept in his yard at his home in San Diego, California. The 16-foot tipi was “modeled in the fashion of an original Sioux Native American variant,” according to the auction listing. Walton hosted friends and sports figures in the tipi, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Yao Ming.

Item: The UCLA game jersey Walton wore during a loss to Notre Dame that ended the Bruins’ 88-game winning streak. Walton had 24 points with nine rebounds and five assists in the loss at South Bend, Ind., on Jan. 9, 1974. The winning streak began during the 1970-71 NCAA season and still stands today.

Price: $220,000.

Item: The 1971-72 NCAA men’s basketball national championship ring Walton received the year he was named national player of the year.

Item: Personal items sold included books, used concert tickets, backstage passes, clothing and his beloved bicycles.

This particular bike included Grateful Dead decorations and the lot came with a riding shirt he wore. The oversized bike was built for Walton’s 6-foot-11 frame.

Item: Walton’s 1985-86 Boston Celtics warmup. The Celtics won the championship that season with Walton primarily coming off the bench to back up starter Robert Parrish. Walton was voted the NBA’s sixth man of the year after averaging 7.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
