Veteran Premier League talent is ‘still waiting’ for ‘call’ from Man Utd and is ready to snub Champions League club

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United side remain the ‘main option’ for one experienced Premier League player in the summer transfer window, according to stunning reports.

The 40-year-old Manchester United manager oversaw a tough start to life at Old Trafford and the Red Devils finished in 15th place in the Premier League table.

Ruben Amorim’s woes were further piled on after Manchester United lost 1-0 to Tottenham in the 2025 Europa League final at the San Mames Stadium in May.

United’s loss to Spurs in Bilbao ensured that the Red Devils failed to secure a Champions League place and will be without European football for next season.

Amorim is expected to make sweeping changes to his United first-team squad this summer, including welcoming new arrivals and offloading players from the club.

The former Sporting CP head coach has already received a major boost in the transfer window after United signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves for a £62.5m fee.

Emiliano Martinez has a firm interest in Man Utd and playing under Ruben Amorim ahead of his potential Aston Villa exit

Emiliano Martinez has been linked with a move away from Villa Park and the 32-year-old Argentine shot-stopper has been heavily linked with Manchester United.

The Aston Villa No 1 is under contract with his current club until 2029, but Aston Villa are reportedly open to selling Emiliano Martinez this summer.

It is believed that Villa want a hefty £40m fee for United-linked Martinez, who has also attracted transfer interest from La Liga outfit Barcelona.

BOLAVIP now reports that Villa’s ongoing financial concerns mean that Martinez’s exit from the Premier League club would ‘seem increasingly feasible.’

The Argentine newspaper added that 2022 World Cup winner Martinez wants to remain in the Premier League and United are his ‘main option’ in England.

Galatasaray are now linked with Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez amid transfer interest from Man Utd and Barcelona

BOLAVIP claimed that Galatasaray have ‘contacted’ Aston Villa and the Turkish side are ready to battle with United and Barcelona over Emiliano Martinez.

Galatasaray could offer Martinez the chance to play in the Champions League next season after the Turkish outfit secured the Super Lig title last season.

However, BOLAVIP reports that Martinez remains firm on his desire to continue ‘competing at the highest level’ and that would mean playing in the Premier League.

The publication added that the Argentina international will turn down a move from Galatasaray and Martinez is ‘still waiting for a call’ from United this summer.
