NBA Finals action is continuing on Friday night with the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder battling it out in Game 4.
However, even non-basketball fans are aware of the date on this Friday, and that’s because it is Friday the 13th. Sure, a Friday the 13th in June doesn’t carry quite the same spookiness as one in October around Halloween, but superstitious individuals are on high alert as it is.
That makes what happened during the live “ESPN on ABC” broadcast of the Finals even spookier.
During the 1st quarter of the action, the broadcast experienced a glitch that cut out the live feed for a brief delay. The spooky touch was added in the form of a “Friday the 13th” graphic that was on air for a split second before disappearing.

Whether you are superstitious or even just a little stitious, the incident had fans talking with more technical difficulties for the worldwide leader. The incident simultaneously lit up social media with fans equally spooked, and some undoubtedly frustrated, by the interruptions in the coverage.
