CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KCRG) - AJ Green is following his best season in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks. Green played for Cedar Falls High School and Northern Iowa.
On Friday, he was back home to host a shooting clinic at Cedar Falls. He sees himself in the athletes he’s helping coach.
“I’ll hop in the drills and do the drills with them because I love doing this. I was a little kid doing the same thing. I try to enjoy it as much as they do,” said Green.
His whole family was pitching in to help put on the clinic. That includes his father, and assistant coach at Iowa State, Kyle Green. Kyle Green knows that his son is an inspiration for young athletes.
“If they dream big, believe, actually work and put the time in, it can happen. Their dreams can become reality. The story with AJ is the amount of time he put in, the work ethic, the attention to detail, the commitment over time, and then having fun with it,” said Kyle Green.
The clinic continues through Saturday.
