Thunder win Game 4 vs. Pacers despite statline no Finals team overcame since 2010

The Thunder made just 3 of 17 three-point attempts in their Game 4 win over the Pacers, becoming the first team since 2010 to win an NBA Finals game with three or fewer made threes.

The Oklahoma City Thunder evened the NBA Finals at 2-2 with a hard-fought 111-104 victory on the road against the Indiana Pacers.

Remarkably, the Thunder pulled off the win despite hitting just three three-pointers—a rare feat in today’s perimeter-oriented NBA.

They shot a mere 3-of-17 from deep (17.6%), becoming the first team since 2010 to win an NBA Finals game while making three or fewer threes, via Statmuse.

Leading the charge once again was league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who poured in 35 points and added three steals in another stellar performance.

For the Pacers, Pascal Siakam led the way with 20 points and 8 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the surging Thunder.

Game 5 of the series shifts back to Oklahoma City and will be played Tuesday night.
