Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior has paid tribute to the club’s supporters, acknowledging their steadfast backing as a major influence on his impressive resurgence during the 2024/25 campaign.
In an interview withAFTV, the 25-year-old Polish international reflected on his journey since arriving from Spezia in January 2023, and credited the Arsenal faithful for standing by him through difficult periods. Kiwior endured a slow start to the season with limited opportunities, but seized his chance following injuries to key defenders like Gabriel Magalhaes.
His composed and assured performances, particularly in Arsenal’s Champions League quarter-final ties against Real Madrid, helped the Gunners keep vital clean sheets and progress, earning him widespread acclaim from fans and pundits alike.

“I really felt the fans’ support, especially after those matches [against Real Madrid],” Kiwior told AFTV. “I’d like to say a big thank you for all the support. For me and the whole team, it means a lot. It makes us feel that Arsenal is not just about the players, coaches, and staff, but also about the amazing fans who are such a big part of the club.”

Kiwior also offered advice to young players facing the highs and lows of professional football. “Nowadays, the best advice I could give would be: don’t read pointless online comments, always give 100%, and never get discouraged if you’re not in the starting lineup. Keep fighting for your place,” he said.

That mindset has served him well this season. Kiwior made 28 appearances across all competitions, stepping up when called upon and becoming a reliable option in Mikel Arteta’s defensive setup.
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League, securing Champions League football for another season. Kiwior’s growing influence, especially in high-stakes matches, has strengthened his position within the squad.
Despite interest from Serie A sides including Napoli, Atalanta, and Juventus, Kiwior is unlikely to leave the Emirates this summer due to Arsenal’s defensive depth concerns. His recent form, including a goal against Crystal Palace and a solid display in a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United has only increased his popularity among the fans.
