Luis Diaz eyes dream move as Liverpool makes transfer stance clear

Luis Diaz reportedly has chosen his next club as he looks for a new challenge in his football career.

Diaz was one of the most consistent performers for the Reds last season. He contributed to the forward line as a left winger and a central forward when needed. He scored 17 goals in all competitions and helped Liverpool win the Premier League.

Slot understands Diaz’s importance and may still consider him for his project. But the situation is not 50-50 between Liverpool and Diaz, as the Colombian reportedly wants to leave the club.

The Premier League champions reportedly want around €80 million for the 28-year-old winger. Saudi club Al Nassr are willing to offer close to €85 million. However, Diaz is not keen on leaving Europe, as he reportedly wants to play at the top level.

FC Barcelona is interested in signing Diaz. Reports say that the Colombian star wants to join the team if he decides to leave Anfield this summer.

The Spanish giants are reportedly ready to pay nearly €60 million. But Liverpool are holding out for around €80 million. According to reports from Diario Sport, the Catalan club are confident of concluding a deal. Liverpool may consider selling Diaz this summer.

Barcelona also have other names on their shortlist apart from Luis Diaz

FC Barcelona are looking for a natural left winger in this summer’s market. Diaz remains their top priority for that role. However, they are also targeting Nico Williams and Rafael Leao for the same position.

Reports indicate that Nico Williams wishes to join Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo, a reliable Spanish media outlet.

Nico has close friends in Barcelona. Lamine Yamal even shared a photo with him after the reports surfaced, adding fuel to the links.

Nico Williams has a release clause of around €58 million at Athletic Bilbao. That might make him a cheaper option than Luis Diaz.

Another name on Barcelona’s list is Rafael Leao. He is also a target for the summer. But no formal contact has been made with the club or the player’s camp yet.
