According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Knicks plan to meet next week with former Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins and ex-Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown regarding the head coaching position.
So far, the Knicks have reportedly been denied permission to speak with their top choices, who are currently under contract with other NBA teams.
New York has been blocked from interviewing several sitting head coaches, including Billy Donovan (Bulls), Ime Udoka (Rockets), Chris Finch (Timberwolves), Quin Snyder (Hawks), and Jason Kidd (Mavericks).
The Knicks are coming off their most successful season in years. After finishing third in the regular season with a 51–31 record, they advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years, where they were ultimately eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in six games.
