Manchester United have been dealt a major transfer blow after Viktor Gyokeres informed Ruben Amorim he will not be joining the club this summer, according to Record.
The Red Devils are in the market to bolster their attacking options this summer and view a new number nine as essential after the struggles of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund during the 2024/25 season.
Ruben Amorim had been keen to reunite with the Sweden star this summer, but that now won't be happening after the player's camp told United that they are no longer an option for him.

Player has an offer from Arsenal

It had been reported recently that Man Utd were prepared to make a big-money offer for the 27-year-old, who has been described as 'game-changing', following their failed move for Liam Delap.
However, Arsenal are also in the race for his signature and after Andrea Berta held face-to-face talks with Sporting chiefs and the player's camp earlier this week, it seems as though he has now turned his attention towards a move to London instead.
According to Record, Gyokeres' agents officially informed Man Utd and Amorim on Friday night to tell them that their client would not be moving to Old Trafford this summer.
