Everton are struggling to catch a break in the early stages of this summer’s transfer window.
Angus Kinnear expects a huge summer for Everton but the Toffees are already finding themselves battling for any signing they can make.
It has been a productive week for David Moyes who has collected his OBE for his services to football.
However, the 62-year-old Scot will now be wanting to see his Everton squad added to as he will be planning ahead for the start of pre-season.
Everton have the financial backing of the Friedkins, but it is proving an incredibly competitive market to deal in for the Blues.
Chelsea are looking to beat Everton to Nick Woltemade with talks now underway with VfB Stuttgart over the Germany international.
And former Premier League boss Jose Mourinho is now trying to steal a march on the Toffees to another of their summer targets.

Fenerbahce want to sign Everton target Yves Bissouma
As the Blues look to bolster their midfield, Everton have shown interest in Yves Bissouma from Tottenham Hotspur.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
With Ange Postecoglou now out of the door, the Mali midfielder looks set to see his future questioned as Thomas Frank takes his seat in north London.
According to HT Spor, Fenerbahce are now ramping up their efforts to sign Bissouma from Tottenham.
The Spurs midfielder is not the only player from north London on their radar with Arsenal’s Thomas Partey also of interest.
Mourinho is eyeing Bissouma as a real option this summer but the lure of staying in the Premier League could be a huge benefit for Everton.
Everton are hoping to keep Idrissa Gana Gueye with a new deal on the table for the Senegal international.
Adding a player like Bissouma could be a real positive for Everton, but the Spurs man could also be eyed as a potential replacement if Gueye does not remain on Merseyside.
Bissouma said he’s the Premier League’s best midfielder
Everton are desperate to add to their midfield this summer and Bissouma would arrive with plenty of Premier League experience.
It has to be remembered the 28-year-old does not hold a perfect record with Postecoglou taking action for some of his off-field antics recently.
But the Mali international has enjoyed some fine form under the Australian in N17 and excelled under the father figure style management.
Bissouma rates himself incredibly highly and even claimed he was the Premier League’s best midfielder in an interview with BBC Sport during his time at Brighton.
“I don’t want to be arrogant, but it’s me because in my head I am working to be the best,” he said.
Whether that is accurate to this day will be up for debate, but he would land on Merseyside as a current European champion which could provide a good influence on the dressing room’s mentality.
