Liverpool look to be having a bit of a clear-out this summer, with many of their first-team players being linked with moves away.
Indeed, this exodus of players won’t come without many new arrivals, but in the grand scheme of things, it feels like Arne Slot is making a lot of changes to a team that was rather dominant last term.
Of course, the Reds have to keep up with their fellow title rivals, but with the way things are headed, the Dutchman could have an entirely new-look team by the start of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.

And, even though the summer transfer window hasn’t fully opened yet, that doesn’t mean the rumours have stopped flowing with the future of one Liverpool man now clear.
Viteslav Jaros is edging closer to his Ajax switch
A couple of weeks ago, it was reported that John Heitinga was looking to raid Liverpool for Viteslav Jaros as one of his first acts as the new Ajax manager.
And, as per a report from Voetbal International journalist Tim van Duijn via his personal X account, it seems like the move is soon to become a reality with just a ‘matter of time’ before it’s completed.
The ‘keeper has been Slot’s third-choice for the past season or so, but with Caoimhin Kelleher exiting and Hungarian goalkeeper Armin Pecsi arriving, there aren’t any places for him in the squad at the moment.
So, it makes sense that Jaros is looking for a move away to continue his development.

“Jaros’ arrival at Ajax is a matter of time. Rent without option,” Van Duijn wrote.
Liverpool must allow Viteslav Jaros to leave Anfield this summer
Jaros was once described as “terrific” by The Athletic for his performances in the Czechia Under-21s.
This was due to many things, such as the way that he commands his box and controls his defenders.
And, although Liverpool fans haven’t seen him play that much, he could certainly end up being their first-team goalkeeper in the future.
Indeed, Giorgi Mamardashvili and Pecsi have both been brought in over the last year, so competition for the starting spot at Anfield is very high.

But if Jaros wants to stand out from the crowd, a loan move to Ajax could be the perfect way for him to do that.
If he manages to get numerous clean sheets and perhaps earn the Dutch outfit a few points here and there, he could get himself on Slot’s radar, which, at the end of the day, will be his main goal.
